New Stock for Spring

In between my DIY and craft projects I have actually been listing stuff amazingly enough. I had an awesome haul the other day which I'm working through - so far, this is my favorite:

Click the image to go to the listing
It's a beautiful dark dark blue 40s day dress with a spring floral prints that includes butterflies. The best bit is the draped detail on the skirt - someone spent a lot of time on the details of this dress. And it's even a bigger size - 44 bust, and in pretty much perfect condition.

Sometimes I have a hard time listing certain things, like 70s blazers. My considering nearly every dress in my closet has a blazer over it, I sucked it up and decided to sell this one:

Again, perfect condition, and just beautifully made.

This weekend I'm on a mission to organise my attic, which doubles as my storage space and office -I really want to paint and knock down the exsisting waste of space built in closet that's up there, so everything's going to have to get moved downstairs for a few days. I did however see this awesome idea for craft storage on Pinterest the other day:

Care of BHG.com

And I do actually have a framed piece of peg board downstairs that I could use.

I have no idea how far I'm going to get being as Sunday is Easter, But I figure I can at least get the room cleared so I can start right?

Spring 2012 - Boho Gypsy - Get the Look

Boho Gypsy - what's not to love? Emilio Pucci's Spring 2012 show brought it to the forefront with gorgeous prints and flowing skirts. I'm particularly in love with the red off the shoulder number.

Find it on etsy:

Plus size Vintage????

I've heard so many time 'I'd love to wear vintage - but it's all so small....'

So, my mission de jour is to hunt down some fabulous spring vintage pretties for the curvy girls out there :)

I found this gorgeous 60s mini dress from ParlorOfCuriousities, What I love is that it has 3/4 length sleeves - which is perfect if you have arm paranoia - and the colours are great for spring!

$39.50

EndlessVintage has this beautiful dress - and a beautiful model! This 60s shape hangs really well on larger figures - and still look super stylish. Plus - how much easier is it to throw on a dress and boots, rather than sweat pants, t shirt, sweater, jacket.....

$30

I adore this 40s dress from hautecountryvintage - this dusty pink is so in this spring:

ThickandThinVintage has the nautical trend down with this fabulous top:

Trend Watch - Brights

The catwalk were full of brights this Spring - it's possibly my least favourite trend - but that's mainly due to the fact I'm a pasty pale red head. But if you can pull it off, check out these fab vintage etsy finds!

My New Shoes

Remember I was saying I was after crocheted shoes? I found them! Very exciting and only 10 Euro in Primark! I got white and green... I love shoeses....

And here's a photo of an Irish shop for Antique :)

Rainbow Brights!

I LOVE mineral make up. It's great for your skin, and a little goes a long long way - so don't be put off by the price. A lot of sellers also have sample packs - like the one above from luxeminerals which makes trying new colours really affordable.

For foundation and blush though - I have to recommend Mixology Makeup. Rae is really nice and will help you pick the right colors and products for your skin.

The best thing about mineral makeup is the high pigment, and they can be used wet or dry, so you can really have fun experimenting.

Some New Favourites

The sun shining again - though it's still cold. But when I get back from Ireland Spring should be in full swing - so I'm dreaming of all the light loose clothes I'll be wearing!

I'm really loving on the floaty layered look that's been hitting the catwalks - and I'll probably be going with it with baby doll tent dresses and 60s minis, with my trusty cable knit cardy for chilly days.

I adore this dress from my dear friend empressjade - but I'd be swimming in it - if it's your size snap it up! Only $15.99 and in the perfect colours for spring!

I usually live in flip flops all spring and summer - but this year I'm loving on crocheted shoes, like these from MamaMae:

I also love the handmade crochet slippers - but until some wonderful etsyian glues a sole to them, I'm a bit stuck...

For the evening, I'll stick with the 60s with a dress like this from BetaBoutique - so so pretty and romantic, but also thoroughly cool.

Or there's always the old faithful - wearing a pretty nighty as a dress!

Getting ready for SPRING! (Finally!)

I'm so ready for the new season - bored of grays, browns, and winter in general!

So I have some new stuff up in my shop - have a gander and dream of warmer weather....
