We were over at the farm today planting - I've been excited to go since Wednesday, like seriously squirming around counting hours like it was Christmas Eve excited. Not to plant really for a change, but because I got a call telling me we had some new arrivals.
I'd like to welcome to the world the cutest little baby I have ever seen in my life, Agnes the fawn:
I mean seriously - look how small she is - I have pretty small hands and her head is smaller. I wanted to pick her up and cuddle her, but she looked so peaceful lying in the sunshine. Mush. I'm totally in love with her.
Adorable-I love deer. In fact, I have several vintage deer spread throughout my house.
ReplyDeleteDarling! I take it from the tag that they're raised on the farm? Or tracked by the game commission? It's possible to touch and cuddle babies like this even if wild, though, 'cause the mothers must leave them to go eat and tell them "DO NOT MOVE till I get back." They won't and don't even know to move when faced with a predator. We saved one from a dog once, and it was only the size of a chihuahua ... the fawn, not the dog!
ReplyDeleteShe is so beautiful! Thank you so much for sharing these pics. Hope you're having a great weekend girlie!
ReplyDeleteWhat a sweet baby! I want to pick her up too :)
ReplyDeleteThe deer are all tame - my father in law has a herd of 30 or so on the farm, so they're all tagged and kept in a huge enclosure.
ReplyDeleteSo adorable!!! Thanks for sharing the link! I want to pet a baby deer that isn't in a kiddie zoo!
