This beauty from Archiva is totally on my wish list - and sadly way out of my budget at $289 - but a girl can dream...
From the handmade corner, I adore this retro looking bikini - sadly I have nothing in the chest department - so I can't imagine it would look as good on me as on the model.

One that's been in my favorites for ages is this adorable 60s bikini - I love the print and that it's a reasonable size for tiny people like me:
My ultimate finds for the serious collector though are these:
1960s PUCCI Swimsuit - $675 from rococovintage.etsy.com
1947 SCHIAPARELLI bikini $475 from littlethingsvintage.etsy.com
1947 SCHIAPARELLI bikini $475 from littlethingsvintage.etsy.com

ReplyDeleteHey there Vintage Fans!
ReplyDeleteThanks so much for featuring my Garbo Bikini on your blog! But, there's no need to lament a lack of...er..."filler": the Garbo top definitely flatters smaller chest sizes too. The x-small & small even come with light padding (which is removable) and there is ample room to add more, if you so desire.
But for those of you who find your bra size tricky to fit into a bikini, I usually suggest the Gina (http://www.etsy.com/listing/43055690/gina-bikini-with-reversible-top-in-navy).The wrap-style and crossover design work well on any shape: my 32DD daughter and 40B niece each wear the Gina in the SAME size--a medium! The Gina Bikini is reversible and comes with fantastic skirt/band bottoms. Ultra-versatile, the banded bottoms can be folded up over the waist or down over the hips to ensure the utmost in comfort for all you beach bombshells.
I hope you find these suggestions helpful and thanks again for including me in your luscious swimwear picks!

See??? That's why I like buying handmade - the sellers' ROCK out as far as being helpful and knowledgeable :D
ReplyDeletei've been a non-swimmer the last couple years. but these suits are close to changing my thoughts on getting into a skin tight little ditty.
ReplyDeleteI love every one of these! So happy that vintage and vintage-inspired swimwear has become popular again. And it's so cool that handmade swimwear is available for about the same price the mass-produced swimwear is in catalogs (that is probably made in some 3rd world country with unfair labor practices).
ReplyDeleteOh my god, these are fricking adorable!!! I love love love the top one - way out of my price range too though. I'm kinda loving the last one too!
ReplyDeleteAnd yay fo bikinis with a bit of padding - as a small chested woman it's essential for me!
