The 90s Revival - Why Lord, Why?

So I was browsing ebay the other day - and noticed they've added another era to the vintage women's clothing section - 90s, Grunge, hip hop.

Why they consider the 90s vintage is beyond me - but that's a whole other discussion. What struck me was why on earth would anyone want to revive the early 90s? I mean - Beverly hills 90210:Circa 1990

Oooo I want to look like them! Or Saved By The Bell - the College Years:

Circa 1993

Dig the hat...

And as much as I love Friends - season one was... interesting.... fashion wise.

Maybe I'm missing something here, but I just think the 90s is best left behind.

  1. 90's is out-of-style, not retro (in my book anyway). But give it about 10 or 15 years, the cycle will begin again and 90's fashion will be hot.

  3. Frankly, I think the 80's should have been the forgotten era.

I think they should bring back the denim bucket hats folded up with an enormous sunflower pin!

  5. omg are you kidding? the 80's thru the 1991 suck a$$ fashion wise.

please bring back sexy earth tone colors of the mid-late 90s. - and get rid of all this gaudy color!!

colorful decades crashed hard. timeless styles of the 20s, 30s, 40s, 70s, and 90s always remain.

the 80s sucked and were seeing shoulder pads and leggings and flash dance boots all over the place. gosh it sucks now!!

  6. The 90s were great, the 80's sucked! In the 90s people looked good and sensible. Also people didn't obsess over weight. I love watching stuff from the 90s.
