Green Things

Being as I live in the barren frozen north, I begin to really, really miss things that grow right around December 27th.

As far as I'm concerned, it's welcome to snow up until then, but really after that the world should start to think about Spring.

So this year, for my birthday, I got given a pop up green house. I was so excited! And it's a testament to my patience that I was able to wait until March to take it out of it's box and set it up on the front porch.

But look - I have plants!

I even had to put my squash and cucumbers into bigger peat pots today (I still don't trust it not to freeze).

I'll move the whole thing outside to harden everything off in a few weeks now, but man, it's so nice to get a bit of a jump on the growing season!

Tuesday Trends: Get Your Garden on!

I LOVE planting stuff. Love it. There is something just extremely satisfying about playing in the dirt. Check out my baby tomatoes - I only planted the seeds on Saturday:

And of course, one does not need to sacrifice style....
