The Journey

I'd like to take this moment to publicly thank God for giving me such a wonderful, well behaved child.

Honestly, she was an angel the whole way. The first leg - Rochester to Philadelphia, she sat in her little seat, seatbelt fastened, reading the in flight magazines and eating Goldfish. We must have looked a pictured the pair of us - the stewardess even came and asked me if she could read already!

We had a 2 hour stop in Philly before our next flight to Dublin - at this stage I was getting sleepy - but queen Blythe wished to bestoy her love of the dear people of Philadelphia - sitting in her carriage (stroller), being pushed by her servant (me) and waving and laughing at everyone.

She hasn't quite got her laugh worked out yet - it's a little bit scary. Someone would smile at her, and she'd look up at them and let out a loud 'BWAHAHAHAHA!'

I got some funny looks.

The star tantrum saver of the trip was the pack of stickers I got at the dollar store. she played happily decorating the wall of the plane to Dublin for about an hour and a half before crashing out on my lap for a few hours.

By the time we finally got to Cork, the poor child was exhausted - fast asleep the whole way home. But bless her, she stayed up til about 7.30pm Irish time before crawling into bed and sleeping for twelve hours straight.

Happy Baby. Happy Mummy.

And for my dear AntiqueAttic - the start of your photo collection:

Skin Care for Planes

Actually - that title doesn't sound right... I meant, skincare for you, on a plane. Not skincare for a plane.

Anyway. The restrictions on liquids on airplanes mean that you're only able to bring small amounts of everything -which is a good thing - less to spill! But it does mean you need to think about what you're going to need.

The air is dry up there - so moisturize, moisturize, moisturize! And spritz - I love the Grace Anti-Oxidant Spray from TheSpaGoddess - It smells amazing and you can feel your skin saying thank you.
She also has a fab mini kit available - which is the perfect size for traveling, and will sort all your skin care needs - and includes the toner
Lip balm is another essential - but don't get anything with menthol as it'll actually dry your lips out more - I love the look and sound of this one -I've not tried it, but judging by the feedback, it's good stuff! If I had more time I'd be ordering it - it has a touch of colour too - so no need for lipstick :)

Neptune's Kiss Sheer Merlot Lip Butter

And now that we're on the subject of make up - I really don't recommend it while flying. Mascara's only going to irritate your already dry eyes, and you'll have panda rings if you do manage to catch a nap. Not the best look really.

If you absolutely cannot got without - use a tinted lip balm and a mineral veil - personally I love Afterglow Mineral Veil from MixologyMakeup

It's really, really light, won't clog up your pores and gives a gorgeous dewy look to your skin.

Help me decide!

I'm usually great at packing - but never before have I had to pack for myself and a baby, for a month, and only being able to take what I can carry.

So one bag basically as I'll have the stroller to push.

My main problem is my shoes - I figure I'll wear my boots and take one extra pair - but which ones? The ones I choose will determine which clothes I take as obviously everything has to coordinate....

So here are the choices:

Beautiful Red Shoes

If I take these, it'll mean shades of black, red and grey. And limited walking as that's a 4 inch heel...

Teal and Brown Shoes
These are really comfy - but if I take these I'll be limited to all the browns in my wardrobe.

Black Shoes

These are the most comfortable of my heels - but...

I don't know. You all choose for me.
